Great new books at the visitor center bookstore

How long has it been since you stopped by the Colorado National Monument Association bookstore at the visitor center? We recently added several great books to our inventory. Here are a couple ranger picks courtesy of Superintendent Lisa Eckert and Chief of Interpretation Karla Tanner.

Rough-hewn land

Rough-hewn land

Superintendent Lisa Eckert shares:

This book was a gift to me by a CNMA member and long-time friend! I am smiling when I reread portions of this book and almost immediately, want to hop into my car for my next vacation. In addition to the memories that you purchase at the CNMA Bookstore, it is special to have provocative and resourceful readings to grace any home or RV book shelf. Book club choice anyone? Fossils and faults, oh my!

The Beast in the Garden

The Beast in the Garden

According to Chief of Interpretation, Karla Tanner this is much more than a book chronicling the death of a boy in Idaho Springs, Colorado, this is a thought-provoking story about the years of human decisions and actions preceding that fatal cougar attack.

Both books are available at the Colorado National Monument Visitor Center and online at rimrockshop.com

We look forward to seeing you soon!
