Let Your Voices be Heard!

After a year-long study, the Colorado National Monument Citizens Community Committee has released its findings – and is asking for public input in an online survey at the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce website. This survey is being conducted by the citizens committee, and not by the National Park Service or the Colorado National Monument Association. Make sure you express your opinions regarding National Park status for Colorado National Monument at http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22EASVKJY7U or go to www.gjchamber.org and  click on Colorado National Monument survey on the right hand side of the page. In addition to answering questions, you can leave comments and ask questions.

If you haven’t seen it, there is a news article on the front page of the January 29 edition of the Daily Sentinel:

An article, written by committee co-chairs Warren Gore and Ken Henry, on page 5B in the January 29 issue of the Daily Sentinel sums up the committee’s findings regarding a change in designation. (You may have to be a Sentinel subscriber to access the article.)
