Have you seen the billboards? The ones featuring Colorado National Monument via the stunning photography of Randy Langstraat? They are a credit to the efforts of CNMA Executive Director Marilee Langfitt who wrote a billboard advertising grant for Colorado National Monument Association.
The electronic billboard near Highway 6 & 50 and 25 Road asks, “Time for a hike?” and conveniently provides the hour and temperature.
While anytime may be a great time for a hike along the trails at Colorado National Monument, October and much of November yield comfortably temperate days for exploring the 46 miles of maintained trails offered within the more than 20,000 acres of the monument’s boundaries.
So get out there and hike! Find your park and your favorite activity within the park.
And while you are enjoying Colorado National Monument, why not stop in at the visitor center bookstore and see what’s new? This week we received a shipment of Banas. What’s a bana? Also known as a buff, a bana is the most versatile bandana in your hiking gear. Let us show you at the bookstore or see it online at rimrockshop.com
